The story of the painting
A very colourful, bold painting that sets the sharp edges of the vase and the leaves against the soft, almost balloon-like form of the flower. Colours that in theory don't go together appear on a dark background, and yet they make a striking whole.
The dark background refers to Dutch painting, but here the classic associations meet strong fluorescent colours. They are not glow-in-the-dark paints: they reflect light intensely and stand out sharply against the dark background. Geometric shapes and sharp lines push the dynamics of the composition even further.
The painting will feel at home in a classic as well as a modern interior. You can pair it with minimalist paintings for a strong contrast, or make it part of a wild, colourful collection.
The image of the painting in a frame was generated by AI.
Painted by Krzysztof Lewandowski, known on the streets of Warsaw as Running Art.
