The story of the painting
Some objects carry enormous energy in themselves. A black, glossy motorcycle helmet is one of them. Against an intensely red background it gains even more power, and the contrasting blue line emphasises its form and gives the composition a sense of movement.
What I like about this painting is the combination of simplicity and strong colour. There's nothing unnecessary here. There's the helmet, the red, and the tension between them. The painting catches the eye, but it also leaves room for your own associations. For some it will be a story about speed and motorcycles, for others about courage, independence and trust in your own skills.
The painting can be hung without a frame.
It's a choice for people who like bold accents in their interiors. And if you like the painting but aren't sure whether such a strong colour will work in your home, write to me. We can prepare a visualisation together and see how it would look in your space.
Painted by Krzysztof Lewandowski, known on the streets of Warsaw as Running Art.
