The story of the painting
Painting has one huge advantage: it lets you step into the world you dream of. For a long time the world of motorcycles and motorcycle gear seemed out of reach to me. I thought I could be fascinated by it, but not necessarily be part of it. It turned out that all it takes is to start painting what you love, and suddenly you're closer to your passion.
This painting belongs to the Moto series. It shows a motocross helmet, and its form, energy and wild, bold colours refer to riders' racing gear. While painting it, I entered the world of motorcycles, met wonderful people who ride, and felt a bit like a bike nut myself. The funny thing is, I've never ridden a motorcycle and don't even know how. But thanks to painting, I'm getting closer and closer to that world.
