On 9 June 2024 I showed a cross-section of my work at Wernisaż Café & Bar in Warsaw's Mokotów district. Paintings from different years stood side by side and together told how my painting has changed: technique, colour and the way I look at a picture.
I started with oil: realistic portraits, still lifes and landscapes. Then came classic compositions of space and colour, and finally what matters most to me today: strong colour, a restless line and the energy of the street. Painting that keeps breaking out of the frame.
But an opening is never just about the paintings. As always, it brought together people from very different worlds: conversations, new acquaintances, lemonade and simply a good time.
